Cape St Francis
This has the most beautifully pristine beach. A symmetrical curving stretch of beach of gleaming sand in the lee of rolling dunes. The beach leads your eyes to the lighthouse, built in 1878, which warns ships of the dangerous reefs that stretch more then a kilometre out to sea. Viewed from the sky, the lighthouse stands on a promontory with thundering waves splashing white foam ribbons on the huge coastal boulders. It is also home to a rehabilitation centre for the African Penguin, situated next to the lighthouse. The waves offer some of the finest surfing in the world.
With 34 well appointed cottages, Cape St Francis Resort features a superb seafood restaurant, swimming pool, tennis and volleyball courts and a cosy fireside pub to relax in. The conference centre caters for a variety of functions both corporate and leisure.
